If you can’t access the email address associated with your account, you have a few options to log in to Meetup and update your email address.
Updating your email address
If you are able to log in to Meetup, you can change your email address on your settings page.
I can’t access my email address, and I can’t log in
If you registered your Meetup account with Facebook, Google, or Apple, follow the instructions for "Logging in with Facebook, Google, or Apple".
If you’re unable to log in to Meetup as you do not have access to the email your used to create your account and need your password reset, contact us with the following information:
- The email address you used to create your account
- A new email address that you’d like to use for your account
We will attempt to verify your account and update your email address. If we’re not able to verify your account, you will need to create a new account using a different email address.
Logging in with Facebook, Google, or Apple
If you registered your Meetup account with Facebook, Google, or Apple, you’ll need to create a Meetup password before changing your email address.
To log in with a Facebook, Google, or Apple account
- Go to the login page.
- Select Log in with Facebook, Google, or Apple.
- Enter your Facebook, Google, or Apple login information.
If you’re able to log in to your account, go to our Help Center and provide our Support with a new email address that you’d like to use for your account.
To create a Meetup password
Desktop and mobile web instructions
- Navigate to the Account Management tab in your settings.
- Enter the email address you use for Facebook, Google, or Apple.
- Click Submit, and you will receive an email with instructions to create a Meetup password.
When you request a new password, you should receive an email confirming the request within five to ten minutes of the request. Learn more about what to do if you don’t receive your password reset email.
Once you create a password, you can update your email address following the instructions as outlined in the article Changing an email address.
