I subscribed to Meetup Pro, but I receive an error message when I try to create my second group.

If you subscribed to the Meetup Pro plan for organizers and are receiving an error message when trying to create a second group (i.e. "Sorry, your progress can't be saved. Please check for any errors and try again"), there's a couple of possible explanations:

 

  • You subscribed to Meetup Pro via Apple. If you chose to start your subscription via Apple on Meetup's mobile app, the subscription you purchased is limited to one group only. This is why you are met with a blocking error message that doesn't let you continue creating a second group. 
    To create additional groups after your first one, we suggest unsubscribing from your current subscription with Apple and starting a new one on Meetup Web.

     

  • A temporary bug is affecting your experience. If the point above does not fit your case, try changing device you're accessing Meetup from: if the issue is occurring on mobile, try accessing Meetup and joining your group on desktop and vice-versa. Sometimes, changing platform makes a difference!

 

Should the fix suggested in the second point above not solve your issue, don't hesitate to reach out to our Support and make sure you provide the following:

  • A screenshot of the error you see or a screen recording of the whole process you're following to edit your group, including the error message that appears
  • If you're on desktop, specify the browser you're using (Chrome, Firefox, Safari...)
  • If you're on mobile, specify your device's model and the app version you're currently on
