The groups or events I organize suddenly disappeared from my Meetup account

If you're an organizer and can't see your groups or events after logging in to your Meetup profile, there’s a high chance that you're incurring into one of the following scenarios:

  1. Your authentication on the mobile app is failing

If the issue occurs while using Meetup's mobile app, try logging off and then logging in again to your profile.
If this doesn't solve the issue, try uninstalling and re-installing the Meetup app on your mobile device, making sure you're downloading the app's latest version. Here are the relevant steps for both iOS and Android devices.

  2. You have more than one account and accessed the wrong one

To double-check that you’re looking at the right profile, follow these few steps:

    1. If you're using the Meetup mobile app, start by uninstalling and re-installing its most updated version on your device.

    2. Once re-installed, log in to the desired account.

    3. From your account, click your profile icon, then Settings.

    4. From the list of settings on the left, click ⚙️ Account Management.

    5. Verify the email associated with the profile you’re logged in: if the email address does not correspond to the one associated with the account you want to access, click again on your profile icon and then on Log out. You can now log back in to the right profile.

  3. Your subscription wasn't renewed in time

If you organize groups and events, but cannot find them after logging in to your Meetup Organizer profile anymore, it’s possible that your subscription wasn’t renewed and is therefore no longer active.

To verify this, click Organizer Subscription from your profile's Settings and make sure your current subscription is still active. You can also check your organizer subscription status directly at https://www.meetup.com/account/subscription/

    • If no subscription is shown, it’s possible you’re logged in to the wrong account. In such a case, follow the steps above to access the right one and see the groups you’re an organizer of.

    • If your subscription is marked as expired, you no longer have access to your groups and events. You can, however, reactivate it from your Organizer Subscription settings and get back to your previous experience as organizer.

👉 Please take into account that groups with expired subscriptions remain available for other members to step up and will be permanently closed if no one does so within 30 days. Hence, someone else may have taken over your group within that timeframe.

If your payment failed or wasn't renewed, your subscription was canceled and your group entered this 30-day grace period. If your group was closed, it cannot be reopened. You're welcome to create a new group to continue organizing. If you believe your group is a branded group that was incorrectly released, reply to the support message and our team will take a closer look.

  4. You're facing an actual bug on Meetup's mobile app version

If none of the scenarios above apply to your case and you're accessing the right profile through Meetup's mobile app, it's possible you're facing an actual bug that we're currently striving to fix. In such a case, we suggest to:

  • Log out of your account and log back in to refresh information.

  • Uninstall and after a few minutes re-install the app to start afresh.
