Every Meetup subscription renews automatically to ensure there are no disruptions to your services from Meetup—especially if you are an organizer, since we don’t want you to risk losing your groups. If you want to cancel your subscription before the next payment, you can follow the steps outlined in Canceling a Recurring Subscription article.
Requesting a refund for a resubscription payment (Organizer or Meetup+)
Eligibility for Refunds
All Meetup subscription holders are eligible for a refund in accordance with this refund policy.
Refund requests must be submitted within the applicable refund window specified below.
Only the most recent initial subscription or renewal fee is eligible for a refund, unless additional charges occur during the refund window. In such cases, those charges may also be refunded as part of the same refund request.
Refund Windows
- Weekly plans: Refund requests must be received within 20 days from the plan period start date, even if you are on a free trial.
- Monthly plans: Refund requests must be received within 20 days from the plan period start date, even if you are on a free trial.
- Yearly plans: Refund requests must be received within 60 days from the plan period start date, even if you are on a free trial.
Exclusion
Refunds will not be issued if:
- You downgrade your plan. Downgrades take effect at the end of your then-current subscription period, and no refund or credit is provided.
- Your request is submitted outside the applicable refund window specified above.
- You have received a subscription refund within the preceding 8 months.
- You have purchased your subscription from the Apple App Store. If you've purchased a subscription through the Apple App Store, all refunds are handled by Apple and are subject to Apple’s Terms of Sale. To request a refund for an App Store purchase, contact Apple Support.
