Deactivating an account is a permanent action and cannot be undone. If you decide to join Meetup in the future, you’ll need to create a new account.
Will my payments be canceled if I deactivate my account?
Yes, once you deactivate your account, any subscription you still have active on Meetup (as organizer, or linked to recurring dues you're paying to be part of a group) will automatically be canceled.
❗️The only exception to this behaviour is if you started a subscription through Apple or Google, as we don't manage such subscriptions and all payments are handled by Apple and Google directly. In this case, you'll need to follow Apple or Google steps to unsubscribe before you deactivate your account.
