How to request a copy of your personal data

Any registered Meetup user can exercise their privacy and data management rights by accessing and filling in our dedicated form: Privacy and data management form.

To access the form, follow these few steps:

  • On a desktop computer, log in to the account you'd like to permanently erase.

  • Click your profile logo in the upper-right corner of the screen, then click Settings.

  • On the left menu, click ⚙️ Account management, then scroll until the end and click the Submit GDPR Request button. This will take you to the Privacy form.

  • Once logged in to the form, select the appropriate option from the drop-down menu, based on the right you wish to exercise. If you're looking to receive a portably copy of all data we collected in association with your account, choose "Send me a copy of my data".

While submitting your request, please also note that our response won't include personal information that we are not permitted or required to provide under applicable laws. For example, we do not provide information that we cannot verify belongs to you.

We will retain a record of your request for our files in accordance with applicable law. You may also have the right to complain to your local privacy authority.

If you wish to erase all of your personal information once you have received a copy of your data, please follow the steps outlined in the article How to request the permanent erasure of your account and of all your personal data.
