Organizers can manage their group members directly from the Members list in the Meetup iOS app. From this list, you can update roles, manage dues, communicate with members, and remove members from your group.
Accessing the Members list
To manage members:
Open the Meetup app on iOS.
Go to your group page.
Tap Members.
From here, you can select a member and open the action menu to manage their membership.
Member categories
The Members page is organized into categories to help organizers quickly navigate the community.
You can switch between the following sections:
Members: Shows all regular members of the group.
Leadership: Shows organizers and members with leadership roles in the group.
Awaiting dues: Shows members who still owe their membership dues.
Banned: Shows members who have been banned from the group.
Sorting the Members list
You can sort the members list to find members or review activity quickly.
To sort members:
Tap the three-dot menu in the top right corner.
Tap Sort by.
Select one of the available sorting options.
Available sorting options include:
Alphabetical β sorts members by name
Date joined β shows newest or oldest members
Last visit β shows the most recently active members
Dues status β groups members based on their dues status

From the three-dot menu on the Members page, organizers can also access additional tools:
- Manage dues: Opens the dues management interface where organizers can manage membership payments.
- Download member list: Download a list of your group members for record-keeping or external use.
Member management actions
From the member's menu, organizers can perform the following actions.
Change role: Assign a different role to a member in your group.
Available roles include:
Organizer
Co-organizer
Assistant Organizer
Event Organizer
Record payment: If your group collects dues, you can manually record a member's payment.
When recording a payment, you can set:
Payment amount
Payment date
Expiration date
Charge dues: You can charge dues to a member to indicate that payment is required for their membership.
Waive dues: If you want to exempt a member from paying dues, you can waive the payment requirement.
Remove a member from your group.
Remove ban: If a member was previously banned from the group, you can remove the ban to allow them to rejoin.
View profile: Open the member's Meetup profile to view their activity and information.
Send message: Send a direct message to the member from the app.
