Meetup members have multiple ways to discover communities and upcoming events. Before you start looking for events in your area, you can take a look at our blog post with useful information about how events are recommended to potentially interested attendees: Personalized event recommendations that deliver—5 tips to boost your RSVPs.
When you're ready to look for events, use the search bar at the top of any page. Our Find page displays search results and provides filters to help you discover the events you're seeking.
Currently, our Find page displays suggested groups and events based on:
Your location
Upcoming event dates
RSVP counts
You can use keywords in the search bar to find groups or events, and the results will include those keywords in the group title and description. You can also filter search results by group category. However, the search functionality does not allow filtering events or groups by country or language, and searching for groups in other regions or countries must be done city-by-city. We recommend using relevant keywords in your search to help find groups or events that match your interests.
The filters at the top of the Find page allow you to refine your results by:
Date range: See events at the right time for you
Type: Online or in-person
Distance: From 2 miles up to 100 miles away
Category: Choose from one of our group categories, like Career & Business
Now available in the app! Filter results by time of day (morning, afternoon, etc.)
If you're looking for saved events or events from groups you've already joined, head to the Your events page.
Desktop web
Your events are always accessible from the homepage or from your profile settings. Navigate to Your events page by following these steps:
Click your profile icon in the top right-hand corner
Select Your events from the dropdown menu

To filter your results, select a date from the calendar or any of the filters (Attending, Hosting, Saved, and Past) in the left-hand panel
Mobile web
Navigate to Your events in your mobile device's web browser by following these steps:
Click the menu icon in the top left-hand corner
Select Your events from the menu
To filter your results, select options or dates from the dropdown menus
Android & iOS apps
The app home screen features Your calendar, which includes filters for:
All of your group's upcoming events
The events you've RSVP'd to
Events you've saved
Past events you've attended
Search for more events on our apps with the Magnifying glass icon labeled Explore.
Explore upcoming suggested events near you, or use the search bar at the top of the app to find events by keywords like event titles or topics. Then, use the dropdown menus to filter your results by:
Time of day: Morning, evening, etc.
Venue: Online or in-person
Distance: From 2 miles up to 100 miles away
Date: See events at the right time for you
When you RSVP to attend an event, you'll automatically become a member of the group hosting it. Learn more about joining groups.
