Block someone from contacting me

If you block a member, they will no longer be able to contact you through messages. When you block a member, you'll also have the option to report them. If you report a member, our Trust & Safety team will be alerted and will review the member's activity on the platform to ensure that it aligns with our Community Guidelines.

Blocking on Web and Mobile: What to Expect

Keep in mind that when you block a member, your experience will vary slightly by platform.

On the web

  • Your chat stays in your Active Chats, but becomes read-only.

  • The blocked member can’t see it in Active or Archived Chats.

On mobile

  • The chat remains in your Active list but shows as locked (with an “Unblock” option).

  • The blocked member loses access to both Active and Archived Chats.

  • Even if they try to message you by other means, their messages won’t be delivered.
