Friends is a newly launched feature, designed to help members connect more easily with people they meet through Meetup events and groups. By adding someone as a friend on Meetup, you'll be able to see each other's upcoming events — making it simple to find new opportunities to meet again in real life.
Where is the Friends feature available?
The full experience, including the dedicated Friends tab for discovering people near you, is currently available on iOS. It will be coming to Android and Web soon.
On all platforms — iOS, Android, and Web — you can already:
Send and receive friend requests
Manage your friends list
See your friends' upcoming events on their profile
Adjust your privacy settings
Make sure you have the latest version of the Meetup app installed to access all Friends features!
