Standard and Pro Organizers who receive money through Member Dues on Stripe or Donations on Pledge can collect those funds and transfer them to their bank accounts.
Currently, it is not possible to apply Pledge or Member Dues-derived funds directly to your Meetup bill to offset or lower your Meetup Organizer subscription. You will need to use a credit, debit, or prepaid card to pay your Meetup organizer subscription, as money collected through Meetup cannot be applied directly to your subscription costs.
Let's see how money is transferred for both types of payments:
Member Dues on Stripe
Once you verify that your Stripe account is fully set up and connected to your Meetup profile, the payout timing to your bank is managed by Stripe after the memberโs payment is processed.
Typically, payment transfers happen automatically on the 30th of every month, and it sometimes takes 2 more days for that to be reflected in your account.
Donations on Pledge
Organizers in the United States can use Pledge to raise funds for their group(s) via member-contributed donations. All donations are optional. Collected funds can be used at the organizer's discretion to offset subscriptions or event costs, such as venue rentals or catering.
Donations are collected through Pledge and are held in your Pledge account, not in Meetup. Once you have activated your Pledge account and linked it to your Meetup organizer profile, you can follow these steps to collect your funds:
Log into your Pledge dashboard. Go to https://www.pledge.to and sign in with the credentials associated with your Meetup account.
Navigate to your balance/payouts section. Once logged in, you should see your available balance.
Request a payout. Look for a Withdraw or Transfer button to move funds to your connected bank account
Ensure you have connected a bank account. You'll need to add your bank details in Pledge before you can withdraw funds.
If you're having trouble accessing Pledge:
Try using the "Forgot Password" feature on Pledge.to if you haven't logged in before
Make sure you're using the same email address associated with your Meetup organizer account
