Updating or Changing Your Credit Card Information

To make sure recurring charges go through smoothly and to avoid service interruptions, your credit card and billing information should always be up to date.

You may need to change or replace a card for:

  • An Organizer subscription

  • A Meetup+ subscription

  • Membership dues to stay active in a group


How do I change, update, or replace my billing information?

Follow these steps to find your current payment information and update it if needed:

 

If you’re a group organizer (Standard or Pro Plan) or a Meetup+ subscriber

You can review and manage the cards on file from your Payment methods page.

🆕 To update a card: 

  1. Go to your Payment methods page

  2. Click on the card you’d like to update

  3. Enter your new payment details

  4. Click Submit

For organizer subscription payments, you can also open your Organizer Subscription page and use Update credit card to submit payment details.

👉 If you see a button to Become the organizer for one of your groups, it means you stepped down when your card wasn’t updated. Once you add a valid card, you can step back up as organizer of your former groups by clicking that button.

âť—If you began your subscription in the iOS or Android Meetup app, you need to update or cancel your subscription through the App Store or Google Play Store on your device. 

 

❌ To remove a card: 

  1. Click the card you want to remove

  2. Click Remove Card

If you’re a free member, paying group membership dues

  1. Log in to your Meetup profile (mobile or browser)

  2. Find the group you need to pay dues for via Your groups and open the group's page 

  3. On the checkout page, choose an existing card or select Pay dues/Set up payment to add a new one and complete payment
