Sharing feedback about an event

You can provide feedback about an event by sharing a rating and then selecting from a list of follow-up responses.

Your ratings and responses are not anonymous and will become publicly available to anyone on the Meetup platform, including the event organizers and other members.

How to share event feedback

After an event you attended ends, you will receive a prompt on Meetup inviting you to share feedback. Sharing feedback is optional and cannot be edited once it has been submitted.

Who can share feedback about an event?

Members who have RSVPed to an event can share feedback after the event has ended.

If you did not attend the event but RSVPed as attending, you can opt out of leaving feedback by selecting I didnโ€™t go.

Can I delete a piece of feedback or rating after I submitted it?

Feedback and ratings can't be modified or erased once you've submitted them. Ensure that you carefully draft your opinion and that it accurately represents your experience.

If you need to add anything, don't hesitate to reach out to the event's or group's organizer to further discuss your feedback.

Additional note about low-star ratings (1โ€“3 stars)

When leaving event feedback, please consider that:

  • Ratings of 1โ€“3 stars require a short written comment in order to be submitted.

  • The Submit button will remain disabled until you add text explaining your experience.

  • For 4โ€“5 star ratings, written feedback is optional, and the Submit button will appear immediately.

This ensures that event organizers and community members understand the context behind lower ratings and can take appropriate action.
