When you have lots of interests, it’s only natural to want to share them all. If you can’t find a local Meetup group that fits what you’re looking for, we encourage you to start one yourself!
You can organize one or more groups depending on the Organizer plan you subscribe to:
Organizers on a Starter plan can organize up to one group
Meetup Starter is a free plan designed to ease first-time organizers into the Meetup experience. Organizers on this plan can create up to one group but can't become organizers of already existing groups, as Starter is only available to brand-new groups and new organizers.
If you wish to take ownership of an already existing group while on a free Starter plan, you'll need to switch to either a Standard or Pro Organizer subscription to take over the group.
Organizers on a Standard plan can lead up to three groups
The same price applies whether you organize one, two, or three groups as a Standard organizer, and you can decide to create your groups from scratch or to step up as organizer of an existing group.
Organizers on a Pro plan can organize an unlimited number of groups
If you’re interested in building a larger network of communities, or if you're currently managing more than three groups using separate accounts, we encourage you to check out Meetup Pro. Your billing will change depending on how many groups you organize, as it follows a pay-per-group logic.
💡 If you decide to organize more than one group, we recommend appointing a leadership team to help you manage the additional responsibilities. Your leadership team can help host events, moderate discussions, and keep your community thriving.
