A group rating represents the combined feedback from all of a group’s events. When a group receives at least five event ratings from its members, the overall group rating will appear as a star rating on the group’s homepage and event pages.
The number of event ratings a group has received is displayed next to its star rating.
What goes into this rating?
Members who have RSVPed as attending an event are invited to share a star rating of that event. A group rating is the average of its members’ event ratings.
Who can see this rating?
Group ratings are visible to the public but have not yet rolled out to all locations. The feature is currently available in the following states and countries:
- Colorado, Florida, Illinois, North Carolina, Massachusetts, and Washington
If you use Meetup in one of these locations please share your feedback about your experience with group ratings. This feature will continue to evolve with your feedback.
