When an organizer closes a Meetup group, all group history will be completely deleted from the platform. This includes photos, discussions, transactions, and member lists. Don’t fret - we know the memories and friendships you gained through the group will live on (you don’t need digital proof of that).
If your Meetup group is closing, we understand why you’d want to save some things beforehand. We don’t have a system for archiving or exporting a Meetup group’s history, but you’re welcome to do so manually.
For written content - including descriptions, welcome messages, event descriptions, and discussions - you can copy and paste them into a document on your computer/device or on the cloud like Google Drive. For photos, simply open the photo within the album you want to save, right click the photo (or tap and hold on mobile), and save it.
