Meetup members can opt to hide certain information about themselves and their use of the Meetup site.
To adjust the settings related to Facebook, log into Meetup and click on 'Account' in the top right. Scroll down to 'Your Facebook settings'.

Messages permissionsLog in, and click on the profile menu in the top right corner. Click Settings. In the left column on the next page, select Privacy.
On the Privacy page, you can adjust who is allowed to contact you through Meetup.
Be sure to hit 'Save' when you're done updating your settings.
Hide my list of Meetups on my profileTo hide the list of your Meetup Groups on your profile, make sure you're logged into your Meetup account, and then click on your profile menu in the top right. Select 'Profile.'
If your Groups aren't hidden, you'll see a link to 'Hide my list of Meetups on my profile'.
If they're already hidden, you'll see a link to 'Show my list of Meetups'.
You can also chose to show or hide your Meetup Groups on the Privacy page of your Meetup Account, under Profile Content Visibility.
If your Meetup Groups are hidden, the list of Groups you're in will not show up when other folks look at your profile in a Meetup Group. If your Facebook and Meetup accounts are linked, we will not show your Meetup Groups memberships to your Facebook friends in the 'Find your Facebook friends' box.
Hide my interestsTo hide your interests, log onto your Meetup account, click on the profile menu in the top right, and select 'Profile.'
Beneath your photo, you should see a box with 'Interests'. Just click Hide my interests from others' and you should be all set!
You can also opt to hide your interests from your Meetup Account's Privacy Settings page.
