Though it's always free to set up a Meetup account as a member, Meetup charges Organizer Dues to start and lead Meetup groups as an organizer. There are currently two types of Organizer Dues Plans: Basic and Unlimited.
The Basic Organizer Dues plan enables organizers to have up to 3 other organizers on their Leadership Team and up to 50 members in their Meetup Group.
The Unlimited Organizer Dues plan grants organizers an unlimited Leadership Team, as well as an unlimited number of members.
We’ve always done everything we can to keep Organizer Dues fair and affordable for organizers everywhere. Take a look at our current pricing options in your area for more details and specifics.
To help cover these dues, organizers have the options to collect Contributions from members who want to help chip in, set Membership Dues and/or charge Ticket prices for individual Meetups.
If you've paid Organizer Dues and change your mind about running a Meetup, you can request a full refund within 30 days of your initial payment.
For more information about the refund policy, please visit Section 3.5 of our Terms of Service.
