Though it's always free to set up a Meetup account as a member, Meetup charges Organizer Subscriptions to start and lead Meetup groups as an organizer. There are currently two types of Organizer Subscription Plans: Basic and Unlimited.
The Basic Organizer Subscription plan enables organizers to have up to 3 other organizers on their Leadership Team and up to 50 members in their Meetup Group.
Please note that the Basic plan is not available to organizers who start their subscriptions through our iOS app.
The Unlimited Organizer Subscription plan grants organizers an unlimited Leadership Team, as well as an unlimited number of members.
Currently, organizers may lead up to three Meetup groups without paying additional fees.
We’ve always done everything we can to keep Organizer Subscriptions fair and affordable for organizers everywhere. Take a look at our current pricing options in your area for more details and specifics.
To help cover their subscriptions, organizers have the options to collect Contributions from members who want to help chip in, set Membership Dues and/or charge Ticket prices for individual Meetups.
If you've purchased a Meetup Subscription and change your mind about running a Meetup, you can request a full refund within 30 days of your initial payment.
If you started your subscription via our iOS app, you’ll have to contact Apple support to request a refund. To do that, head to reportaproblem.apple.com
Sign in with your Apple ID, select ‘Meetup’ from the list and click ‘Report a Problem.’ Select ‘Problem is not listed here,’ and state that you would like to end your Meetup subscription and get a refund.
For more information about the refund policy, please visit Section 3.5 of our Terms of Service.
